Tan Zhongyi is a former Women’s World Champion and five-time Chinese women’s national champion. She recently won the 2024 FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament, qualifying her for the 2024 Women’s World Championship match against defending champion GM Ju Wenjun. Tan earned the Grandmaster title after winning the 2017 Women’s World Championship. She is also the winner of the 2022 Women’s World Rapid Championship, and at her current peak rating of 2540 Tan is the Women’s No. 6 ranked player in the May rating list.

Mariya Muzychuk is a two-time Ukranian Women’s Champion and 2015 Women’s World Champion. She has a peak rating of 2563 and has been ranked as high as No. 5 in the world. Mariya has represented the Ukrainian national team in several chess Olympiads, earning team gold in 2022, silver in 2018, and bronze in 2012, 2014, and 2016. Additionally, she helped Ukraine win the European Women’s Team Championship in 2013.

Nana Dzagnidze is a multiple-time Georgian Women’s Champion, current Georgian Women’s No. 1 and current Women’s World No. 9. She has represented Georgia in many prestigious team competitions, winning several medals including team gold at the 2008 Chess Olympiad and 2015 World Team Championship, as well as an individual gold at the 2014 Tromso Olympiad. Dzagnidze was also the winner of the 2017 European Individual Chess Championship.

Anna Muzychuk is a former Women’s World Championship Challenger, 2014 Women’s World Rapid Champion, and two-time Women’s World Blitz Champion (2014 & 2016). In addition to winning the Ukrainian Women’s Championship at the age of 13, she was also a six-time European Youth champion, World Youth U16 champion, and World Junior Girls’ U20 champion. She is the fourth woman in chess history to attain a FIDE rating of at least 2600, and has achieved a peak ranking of #2 in the world. Anna has represented both Ukraine and Slovenia in international team events, earning a number of individual and team medals.

Harika Dronavalli is a former Indian Women’s Champion, current India Women’s No. 2 and current Women's World No. 11. She has earned multiple medals while representing the Indian national team, winning silver in the 2021 FIDE Women’s World Team Championship as well as bronze in the 2021 FIDE Online Chess Olympiad. Dronavalli’s individual achievements include winning the 2016 Chengdu FIDE Women’s Grand Prix, the 2008 World Junior Girls Chess Championship, and the 2006 Girls U18 World Youth Championship.

Alexandra Kosteniuk is a former Women’s World Champion and current women’s World No. 12. She has won several team Olympiads as well as European team championships while playing for the Russian national team. She is also a two-time Russian champion, the 2004 European Women’s Champion, the 2021 Women’s World Rapid Champion, and the winner of the 2021 Women’s World Cup. In March 2023, she switched federations to Switzerland and is now their No.1 ranked female player.

Elisabeth Paehtz is a German grandmaster and No. 1 female player from Germany. She was the 2002 World Youth Champion among girls under-18 and in 2005 won the World Junior Girls Championship. In 2018 Paehtz won the Women’s European Individual Rapid Championship and in December 2022, Paehtz earned the Grandmaster title, becoming the first German woman to do so. Elisabeth’s father, Thomas Paehtz, is also a chess grandmaster.

Irina Krush is an eight-time U.S. Women’s Champion and current U.S. Women’s No. 1. Originally from Ukraine, Krush immigrated to the United States at the age of five in 1989. She has represented the U.S. Women’s National Team since 1998, winning team silver in the 2004 Chess Olympiad and team bronze in 2006. In 2013, Krush became the first and only American woman to earn the Grandmaster title.

Alice Lee is an International Master and the 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Champion. She also recently won the 2024 American Cup. Currently ranked #1 among U.S. girls under 21 and #3 among women overall, Lee is also a three-time World Youth Champion, winning the Girls’ U10 Championship in 2019 and then back-to-back titles in 2020 and 2021 in the Girls’ U12. In 2023 Alice earned the International Master title, making her the youngest American woman ever to do so.

Anna Zatonskih is the defending Cairns Cup champion and 4-time U.S. Women’s Champion. She is also a former Ukrainian Women’s Champion and represented Ukraine in two Olympiads before switching federations to the United States in 2004. Since joining the U.S. National Team, Zatonskih earned team silver for the U.S. in the 2004 Chess Olympiad, team bronze in 2006, and an individual gold medal on Board 2 in the 2008 Olympiad.
