2013 U.S. Women's Championship Overview

The 2013 U.S. Women's Championship is the most prestigious women's event in the United States, and will feature 10 of the country's strongest female competitors. It will be held concurrently with the 2013 U.S. Championship at the Chess Club & Scholastic Center of Saint Louis, from May 2nd to May 13th.

2012 World Chess Olympiad Overview

The 40th World Chess Olympiad will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from August 27th through September 10th, 2012. The Olympiad, which is a team tournament in which 163 countries compete, has been held since 1924.

About the 2012 U.S. Junior Closed Championship

The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis is proud to host the U.S. Junior Closed Championship for the third consecutive year July 10 -15. The top Junior players in the nation will duke it out for the title of U.S. Junior Champion, $18,000 in prizes and a highly coveted invitation to the 2013 U.S. Championship.

Kasparov, Polgar to Judge Best Game Prizes

Former World Champion GM Garry Kasparov and world number-one female player GM Judit Polgar have agreed to judge the best game prizes for the 2012 U.S. Championship & U.S. Women's Championship.
